Can someone explain to me the purpose of this new portal?

The gameplay seems very addictive:
– Gems to make dragons,
– Dragons to make platinum,
– Platinum to improve and gain more gems

… to improve the dragons
… to earn more platinum.

the circle is complete… And so what?

Where is the link to the game that we know and that we love.

I understand that we need some new stuff beyond a certain level … but all it seems terribly artificial!

all i have to do is to level up my dragons using crystals,,
I also upgraded all my mine into max level,, but its take 1 day to harvest each mine,,that’s pretty long time to wait,,

It seems like there was an update to the Ancient Portal. All of the prices for mining have increased (which sucks because they were already high). My ruby and sapphire mines now say that it will take 19:43 and 20:23 respectively for them to finish. The prices on the other mines are: topaz (1.35M), Emerald (1.71M), Onyx (2.16M), and Diamond (2.7M). All mines are level 6. Please tell me this is not going to stay this way. That’s way too much money and time.

It won’t load. I updated my phone and updated dragon city, and it shows up. But there is a bar above the portal and a ! On the thumbnail. The bar above the portal has been stuck on the same spot for 2 days. What can I do? My husbands worked just fine and he has the exact same phone as I do.

All i wanna is how to BREED those dragons. There’s a Breeding place or whatever it called to breed any two dragons of your choice, and the egg will go straight to Hatchery for us to feed and use for fight. The thing is, mine says ‘Coming Soon’. So obviously i can’t breed any of my ancient dragons. And that is boring and useless cause what for i keep on evolving my ancient dragons but i can’t use them to breed and get their eggs to feed and for fight. Right? So anyone else got this problem? Or is it just me? Or we really need to wait for..i don’t know months before we can use it?

Are there tangible rewards that will come from the Ancient Portal? Right now it’s just costing gold and you don’t really get anything in return. The platinum the dragons produce is only useful to upgrade stuff in the portal and can’t be used in DC. I don’t want to spend my gold and not get anything useful from it.

It’s probably something lame. Most likely a portal to other games they want you to play and spend your money on. Love DC but I’m just saying, all they care about is $$$.
